Q Many of my patients do not have Internet access. Can we still use CoagCare?
If the patient has a caregiver (nurse, children, friend) who can access the Internet, the caregiver can input patient data for them. The caregiver will then be responsible for making sure the patient receives any new dose or testing frequency changes, as well as pass along any personalized messages from the healthcare provider. We have had several patients use this approach, with great success!
 
Q Can my patients use CoagCare when they travel?
Yes. CoagCare offers secure access from anywhere with internet access. We have even had patients who communicated with their physician while on a cruise!

Q Do Medicare and Insurance reimburse for management of self-testing patients?
Yes, Medicare currently reimburses for self-testing for mechanical valve patients.There is currently a clinical trial to evaluate expansion of coverage for more indications, including atrial fibrillation. Most insurance companies cover self-testing for patients following the Medicare policy.
